Last version date:
Welcome to verita.co.il (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Eyal Eckhaus (hereinafter: "the Company" or "we").
We understand that online privacy is important to users of our Site, and therefore we have taken the necessary steps to meet the relevant standards in terms of data privacy.
This statement governs our privacy policy with respect to those users of the Site ("Visitors") who visit without transacting business and Visitors who register to transact business on the Site and make use of the various services offered by verita.co.il (collectively, "Services") ("Registered Users" or "Customers").
"Personally Identifiable Information"
This term refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, email address, purchase history on the Site, and national identification number (to the extent provided by you and transmitted for payment processing or invoicing requirements). It is important to emphasize: we do not store full credit card details in our systems. Payment processing is carried out through external and secure clearing service providers. Likewise, we do not store national identification numbers in our databases after they have been transmitted to clearing providers for the purpose of completing the transaction, if required. Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (i.e., without identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.
"Aggregated Information"
Refers to information that does not contain Personally Identifiable Information, such as the number of visitors to the Site or statistical data on the use of services.
What Personally Identifiable Information is collected?
You may visit the Site without providing any information. We may collect user profile information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses if and when you decide to provide it, for example, when registering, purchasing a course or digital product, or contacting us, as well as information about your use of the Services, such as the courses you enrolled in and your progress in them.
What organizations collect the information?
In addition to our direct collection of information, our third-party service vendors (such as credit card companies, clearinghouses, banks, analytics service providers, or email marketing service providers subject to your consent) who may provide services such as payment processing, site usage analysis, or support services, may collect this information from our Visitors and Registered Users. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we strive to work with vendors who respect privacy. Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them beyond the operational need.
How does the Site use Personally Identifiable Information?
We use Personally Identifiable Information to customize the Site, to make appropriate service offerings (such as courses and digital products), to operate the Services (including providing access to purchased content and tracking progress in courses), for operations including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, and service improvement, and to fulfill buying and selling requests on the Site. We may email Visitors and Registered Users about information on courses, digital products, updates, or relevant offers on the Site, or information related to the subject matter of the Site (subject to your right to opt-out of receiving marketing communications). We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Visitors and Registered Users in response to specific inquiries, or to provide requested information.
Lawful Basis for Processing Information
We process your personal information based on one or more of the following lawful bases: (a) for the performance of a contract with you (e.g., to provide you with a product or service you purchased, including tracking your progress in courses); (b) where you have given your consent (e.g., to receive marketing communications or for the use of certain cookies); (c) for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject (e.g., accounting requirements); (d) where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests (e.g., to improve our services, secure the Site, prevent fraud), provided that such interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
With whom may the information be shared?
We may share aggregated information about our Visitors, including the demographics of our Visitors and Registered Users, with our affiliated agencies and third-party vendors for analysis or service improvement purposes, in a manner that does not personally identify you. Personally Identifiable Information may be shared with third-party vendors only to the extent necessary to provide the Services (such as payment processing, sending operational or marketing emails subject to your consent) and under their commitment to maintain the confidentiality of the information and not use it for other purposes. We also offer the opportunity to "opt-out" of receiving marketing information or being contacted by us or by any agency acting on our behalf.
How is Personally Identifiable Information stored?
Personally Identifiable Information collected by verita.co.il is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties or employees of verita.co.il except for use as indicated above and for the purpose of operating and providing technical support for the Site.
International Data Transfers
Your personal information may be stored and processed by us or by service providers acting on our behalf on servers located in various countries around the world, including outside your country of residence or outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We expect our service providers to take reasonable measures to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection when it is transferred to these countries, in accordance with applicable law requirements. By using the Site, you consent to these transfers subject to such safeguards.
What choices are available to Visitors regarding collection, use, and distribution of the information?

What partners or service providers have access to Personally Identifiable Information from Visitors and/or Registered Users on the Site?

Such vendors may have access to certain Personally Identifiable Information on a need-to-know basis for evaluating Registered Users for service eligibility, or for providing operational services to the Site (such as clearing services, mailing, analytics). Our privacy policy does not cover their collection or use of this information, and we recommend reviewing their privacy policies.
Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information to Comply with Law
We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a court order or subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information. We will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Visitors and Registered Users, or to enforce our Terms of Use.
How does the Site keep Personally Identifiable Information secure?
The Personally Identifiable Information of our Visitors and Registered Users is accessible only to a limited number of qualified personnel who need it for the operation of the Site and Services. We take reasonable and industry-standard security measures to protect the information on the Site, including the use of secure communication (such as HTTPS) for data transmission and the use of general security tools for the Site. While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering, and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Visitors or Registered Users for any such occurrences.
How can Visitors correct any inaccuracies in Personally Identifiable Information?
Registered Users can update most of their personal details directly through their personal account area on the Site. For information that cannot be updated directly through the profile, or for Visitors who are not registered and wish to correct information they have provided (e.g., in a contact form), they can contact us at support@verita.co.il.
Can a Visitor delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Site?
Visitors and Registered Users who wish to request the deletion or deactivation of Personally Identifiable Information from the Site's database can do so by contacting us at support@verita.co.il. However, due to backups, records of deletions, and legal or accounting obligations to retain certain information (such as transaction records), it may be impossible to completely delete all of a Visitor's records without retaining some residual information for a certain period. When an individual requests to deactivate Personally Identifiable Information, this information will be functionally deleted (i.e., it will not be accessible for routine use), and we will not sell, transfer, or use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in any way from that moment on, except as required for retention by law.
If you wish to delete your account, you can request this by contacting support at support@verita.co.il. Deleting your account will result in the removal of your Personally Identifiable Information from our active systems, subject to any data retention requirements imposed on us by law (such as retaining records for tax purposes for the period stipulated by law).
Data Retention
We will retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide you with the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required or permitted by law (e.g., for accounting, legal, or fraud prevention purposes). Thereafter, the information will be deleted or anonymized in a way that no longer allows your identification.
Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Information
Subject to applicable law, you have rights regarding your personal information that we hold. Registered Users can access and update most of their personal details directly through their personal account area on the Site. Additionally, you can contact us to request access to additional personal information we may hold about you (if any and not available in your profile), request its correction or deletion (subject to the limitations detailed in this policy), and to object to its processing for direct marketing purposes.
